Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum order requirement for asphalt?
Our minimum order requirement is 50 tons of asphalt per customer. If the order falls below this limit, a $500 fee will be applied for Monday through Friday deliveries. This minimum helps ensure efficient production and transportation while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
How far in advance do I need to place an order?
We recommend placing your order at least 24-48 hours in advance to ensure availability and scheduling. Larger orders or special mix requests may require additional lead time, especially during peak paving seasons. If you need asphalt on short notice, contact us as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
Can I request a custom asphalt mix for my project?
Yes, we can produce custom asphalt mix designs to meet your specific project needs. However, it is the customer’s responsibility to verify that the mix has been approved by the project owner or governing agency before placing an order. If a special mix is needed, additional production time and approvals may be required.
What are the delivery options for asphalt orders?
We offer FOB (Freight on Board) pricing, meaning customers can arrange for pickup or coordinate their own trucking. Delivery options are available upon request, and curb release terms apply if the asphalt needs to be delivered beyond the curb line. Customers must acknowledge responsibility for any potential damage to property or equipment.
What is the difference between hot mix and warm mix asphalt?
Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) is produced at high temperatures (typically 300°F or higher) and is the most commonly used asphalt for roads, highways, and commercial paving projects. It provides excellent durability and long-term performance.
Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA) is made at lower temperatures (typically 200-250°F), reducing emissions and fuel consumption. It is easier to work with in cooler conditions and is often chosen for its environmental benefits.
Do you offer asphalt installation services, or just supply materials?
We only supply asphalt materials, but we can connect you with reputable contractors for installation services if needed. Our focus is on providing high-quality asphalt that meets industry standards, ensuring the best results for your paving project.
